The well-known business school HEC Paris has renewed its partnership with Qatar Foundation (QF) for another 10 years. This agreement strengthens their shared goal of developing future business and public sector leaders in Qatar and the region.
The renewal was celebrated at a ceremony at Qatar Foundation Headquarters. Key attendees included H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, along with Dr. Eloïc Peyrache, Dean of HEC Paris, and Dr. Pablo Martin de Holan, Dean of HEC Paris in Qatar. The French Ambassador to Qatar and alumni from HEC Paris also joined the event.
Francisco Marmolejo, President of Higher Education at QF, said the partnership reflects the belief in education and collaboration. He expressed excitement about the opportunities and achievements the next decade will bring.
Since its opening in 2010, HEC Paris in Qatar has played an important role in Qatar’s education and economy. It has over 1,300 graduates from 59 countries, with 57% being Qataris and 43% women. Each year, more than 600 executives take part in HEC Paris programs designed for businesses in Qatar and the region.
These programs help participants learn and solve business challenges. They also benefit from being part of Qatar Foundation’s unique ecosystem, which includes seven international universities, Hamad Bin Khalifa University, research hubs, and community programs.
HEC Paris in Qatar has contributed to knowledge creation. It has produced over 25 case studies on local business challenges and publishes reports like the GUESS National Report, which studies students’ entrepreneurial ambitions. It also released Qatar’s Entrepreneurial Ecosystem: The Founder’s Guidebook in both Arabic and English.
Dr Eloïc Peyrache said HEC Paris and Qatar Foundation aim to unlock human potential and make a global impact. With QF’s support, the school has expanded and adapted to meet the region’s needs. HEC Paris in Qatar has updated its courses to tackle real-world business problems. It uses advanced technology like AI simulations and holograms to connect its campuses in Paris and Doha.
